Every Tiny Town will need people to operate and manage it. We have planned that each town will require 12 - 24 full and part-time employees depending on the number of citizens living in the town. These positions, held by local town citizens, will cover all aspects of the town operation and management.
Each citizen is required to perform 10 hours of volunteer work each month as part of their residency. These jobs will assist and be coordinated by the town employees. Volunteering is part of the TTA plan to provide an affordable place for tiny homeowners to reside. Through volunteering, part of the cost of operating each town is reduced by the volunteer work performed by its citizens, and this is passed on through reduced site fees.
Through volunteering and a strong core of paid employees, Tiny Towns seek to provide a thriving and active community environment. THOWs encourages a community spirit of involvement. In traditional homes, people tend to live in their homes, which is part of the reason traditional homes keep growing in size. People living in tiny homes tend to include the outside community space as an important part of the home.
