Here’s a great article about a tiny home project in Fredericton, New Brunswick to build a tiny home community to address some of their affordable housing needs. Started by 12 Neighbours Inc. a local not-for-profit, they are putting forth a proposal to the city council to build a community of 96 tiny homes on a 24-hectare lot on Fredericton’s north side.

If you succeed, and I hope you do, this will be the first tiny home community in the Maritimes which may open up the possibility of building ones in other provinces. I always thought it would be a good idea over here in PEI but the red tape makes it near impossible.
I built my tiny home back in 2001 and I got around the red tape by building in the country and building on a foundation in a community with no covenants or home owners association.
I know many over here who would be interested in a tiny home community but nothing gets done. Maybe your success will point the way. Good luck.
